I don't disagree, for chasing benchmark scores, the FTW3 is far better than the XC3. For most it's a matter of which ever they can get a hold of and it's likely not a choice still. It runs around 270W and sits at like 42C with very low fan speeds.įor the comment of buying the FTW3 for $75-$100 more, it's $1199 vs $1399 on the 3080ti so $200 more. For gaming, I've got it undervolted to like 800mV 1800 MHz. It also crashes between +300 to +500 but then stops crashing from +600 to +1300ish range. I can get it to +1200, but it gets lower benchmark scores then +200. I can't get anything over +200 stable without losing performance. I don't know if it's luck of the draw or because it's a gaming vs ultra, but my memory seems to be garbage. Port Royal was right around 13,800 at that point, about 1200 points higher then stock but a similar 1200 points behind where a solid FTW3 ends up. I can't remember exactly where this was, but I think it's around 875mV and 2040MHz on my card. The best performance I've been able to get out of it was by finding the voltage point where it gets to the power limit and then get the frequency at that point as high as possible. I've currently got a XC3 3080ti gaming (not the ultra) with the hybrid kit. If you can get one and make it work in your setup, the Hybrid kit greatly improves the XC3 cards. Swapping to the hybrid kit on that same card though brought average clocks up to 1940MHz. I had limited success with the XC3 3080 as it ran pretty hot and would clock down to around 1740MHz. Can anyone figure out what core clock I would probably want to target and then I could work the undervolt from there? I get confused wrapping my mind around how these new cards boost so I don't know what targets to aim for.

With the power limitations of this SPECIFIC CARD, what would I want to do to eek out as much perfomance within my envelope of design as possible. Stock it would tap around 341 watts, and go up to 80C+. Averages around 280 watts like this, spikes up to 314 watts at times. At max fans it does about 65c, and at 90% fans it wants to creep past 70c.

In MSI Afterburner, I can push 104% power max, and am currently running 1800Mhz core 0.812v without any problems. I understand from the XC3 3080 reviews that the XC3 series are about the most pathetic 3080 series out there, providing even less perfomance than FE due to power limitations. Anyway, hard to find anything on the 3080 Ti other than annoyed YouTube reviews of single cards and just huffing on about how these are a waste of silicone. Just recieved my XC3 card.wow, the thing is tiny, like smaller than my GTX 1080 Ti.
